Cloudy water?

Hi, I just finished setting up my 30 gallon tank. I'm using an AquaClear 300 filter and I put in the sponge, then the carbon packet and I also bought an amonia packet. I neglected to rinse the amonia packet before putting it in the filter and now my water is terribly cloudy??

What do I do???
 
no need for the packet anyway and they dont work so well. Take the packet out, throw it away, do a 25%water change and wait a few days and you tank will look like new. Get some bio spira add to tank to help it cycle faster and you can add fish within a week. Now go have some fun!:cool:
 
Many new tanks get initially cloudy due to debris from gravel or filter material. This will settle out as most material is heavier than water or will get trapped in the filter.
