would crushed coral in a small tupperware container work for putting mushroom cuttings in to attach?Ive heard to use shells or lr rubble, but the cc sounds a lot easier to glue to the lr...THANKS for the help

live rock in a plastic cup works for me. My mushrooms are growing pretty well and have started to move to new areas of the tank as they get crowded. So I've taken cuttings or the migrator and stuck them on old coral/rocks/etc. I avoid glue because I don't want to stress my corals by removal from the water after cutting and add glue into my aquarium. By placing the mushroom in a plastic cup with the rock on the bottom it can root. The cup will keep the current in your tank from blowing the mushroom loose and give it some time to naturally attach. mine usually only take 3-4 days to be solidly attached.

The use of super glue works great. And not worries about adding it to the tank its harmless originally intended for human surgical purposes. It hardens through the use of moisture and will set quicker under water. It is a chemical reaction that can produce heat so moving it back to the water is best any way as soon as you place the shroom on the rock.

You can also glue a bunch of CC together. Put about 1/2 inch in the bottom of a plastic cup, and glue them together, then pop them out of the cup. I've seen several LFS use this for frags.

I found those little paper cups that you get ketchup in (or take them from McDonalds) and mix portland cement and aragonite sand to make little plugs. After they dry soak them in water until it stops precipitating calcium and glue your props on there. (I acually use fresh dried ((Not soaked)) plugs if Im only going to make one propagation. One quarter inch thick plug doesnt spike the Kalk in my tank. I wouldnt recommend it for small tanks or using a lot of them in a medium tank though.
