Hello,

As some of you may or may not know, I have kept ADF's in smaller tanks by themselves for about 8 years now. I feed them every couple days, and when I fed them bloodworms I hand fed.

I moved one ADF to a 15 gallon aquarium (my next smallest aquarium) and this tank has various fish like danios, swordtails, and a few cories. I am wondering how to feed him being that he is in with other fish. Before, I could throw in some "frog bites" and by the end of the day they would all be eaten. How do I feed with other fish now in this tank. Bloodworms by hand would work, but not for every meal.

How can I feed the frog bites successfully? Will he eat flake foods? Sorry guys, I really dont know much about African Dwarf Frogs when it comes to grouping them with other inhabitants.

hmm...thanks, this is what I've wondered about. Will the frogs really eat stuff on the bottom? I thought he was just dumb because I've never seen him eat from the gravel. The food usually has to be moving or at the surface for mine to eat.

So...could he get used to eating things (bloodworms, flakes) from the bottom?

I read on here that someone used a small glass bottle to feed thier frogs in a fish hungry tank. They would put the food in the bottle and sink it in the same spot every time, the frogs learned to climb in it to get the food but the fish were not smart enough.

Sounds like it could work.

I have to hand feed my 2 dwarf forgs :P

I recently purchased an ADF. I have been having similar problems with mine. I've bought freeze-dried bloodworms and shimp pellets. The bloodworms float and my frog doesn't ever venture to the surface of the tank and all my guppies snap them all up. The pellets sink but the frog doesn't seem to be interested in them. I know that this question was already answered but I was wondering where I could find frozen bloodworms and how I could feed them to my ADF.

I don't own any frogs at the moment but have in the past. I find frozen foods are great at spreading the tank quickly. What I do is take the frozen food (shrimp, bloodworms, mosquito larvae, etc.) and thaw it on a paper towel. I then add it to a cup of tank water and pour all the food in. It goes all over the tank so the frogs should be able to get at it easily.
