Hey, Im new to this community and there seems to be a lot of helpful information around here. I hope I can get this question answered. Ive setup my first tank and its about two months old now. I think it succesfully cycled becuase my fish arent dead and the water looks crystal clear. A few weeks ago I got some live rock (it was actually dead but who cares since it looks cool) and placed it in the tank. A week later two of my fish got ich so I got this blue medicine and now its gone, i think. OK, heres my question. Today I noticed these things that look like tiny white honeycombs growing on rocks: in normal cheap rocks and in the live/dead rock. What are these things? They look cool and I hope its sometype of coral but Im afraid it can also be some bad thing like the sudden ich attack. I took some pictures but the thing is so small that it appears as a small white spot. Im aware that its probably some organism that came along with the live/dead rock, and in a way I was hoping for something like this to happen. Any ideas? Thanks.

a pic would help. Is it a string of white, like a slightly curled ribbon? If so it could be eggs from a snail or other invert. I get those every couple of months and they hatch out larvae and it feeds my corals and fish.

I have some pictures but they only show a white spot. They might confuse you. And they are not eggs, it looks like some wasp is building his nest in there.
