I have a 10gallon tank with 2 plays and 2 corys. A week ago I noticed the female platy was pregnant.

Unfortunately, I don't have room or $ to raise the fry once born. What should I do? I was planning to post an ad for free fish or even sell/give it to a LFS.

Add something that will eat them.

The plattys will probally eat the young if given the chance. They seem to take a while to get big anyway so you will have pleanty of time to find them a home if you want.

If you don't take any measures to keep the fry safe they most likely will be snacks for the grown Platys so your problem is solved. The mother fish will eat her own fry, sick but true.

Two months ago I had four platys, one month ago I had five, right now I've got seven. I can already see where this is heading, but the fry are just sooo cute.

I attribute their survival to lots of hiding places in the plants and bog wood.

I'll probably either start giving them away or add another tank.
