I've never experienced ich...but I've heard it's white spots.

The maroon clown has small, whitish on one side. It's like he was very lightly peppered with flour. Is this ich? I also noticed the firefish rub his gills against the sandbed, which I've known to be a sign of ammonia. I did overfeed yesterday.

I've never seen ich, does this sound like it? What other symptoms can I expect to see? When would I know for sure, and what should I do if it is?

thanks you veterans!

If it's marine ich, or cryptocaryon, you will see little white spots, like the fish were sprinkled with salt. Behaviorally, they scratch against things, and usually breath hard because the parasites infest the gills first.

gbolton has a thread in general marine called "some sort of ich?" where he's trying RxP. You might have a look.

The RxP seems to work just be sure to drip it in isntead of ading all at once. This seesm to lessen the stress on the iverts. Also make sure you are not running any carbon. Check my other thread out and it has more details. If you have more specific questions I didnt answer please ask.

Ahh

I have a wet/dry filter, with a bio wheel, and it has carbon.

Why not run carbon? Will you expand on that? I will use an Aquadose to drip. How steady of a drip did you use, and for how long?
