my red O has ich, , i raised my temp to 86, im gonna get salt and medication tomorrow, i was wondering if there was anything else i could do.

Daily 30% water changes while carefully vacuuming the substrate will help. You can use regular kitchen salt, iodized or otherwise at a dosage of 1 teaspoon per gallon, to help disrupt the osmotic pressure of the ich cysts, also. I don't use meds in my tanks to treat fish with ich, just the water changes, heat and salt. It works fine, and doesn't kill your biobed.

are u suriouse that i can use kitchen salt, and if so, do i have to do somthing to it. the other tiger O was beating on him so i put him in a 10g until he recoversm, he is still small.

Yep, dead serious. It works fine. That non iodized salt only was a wives tale. MANY people add reef salts to their african cichlid tanks and there's far more than a trace of iodine in them with no ill effects.
