Do you guys think this would work with the right size tank? I thought that they were around the same size, and I was hoping it would work.

or if not, I was thinking of holding either a breeding pair of Jags or GT's in a 90. Would that work?

If you grow them up small together it may work. But ultimately, the Midas will give the GT a hard time in anything less than a 6 foot tank.

A breeding pair of GT's should be no problem in a 90. The Managuense will work for the short term but as they grow larger you my need a bigger tank for them.

Well, that's what I'm keeping now (along with some fish for distraction). It has worked fine up until now. Now that both male and female are around 6 inches, the female is starting to harrass the male. My male Midas is a big wimp, hiding in the corner and taking abuse.

If you start with juvenile fish you could probably keep a pair in a 90 for a long time. You may eventually need a divider. I would recommend a 6 foot tank. That's what I wanted, but I live in an apartment and ultimately don't want to have to move that size tank around.

To be honest, I'm getting fed up with my Midas's lack of growth and am ready to trade them in.
