Tank raised or True? Which is your peculiar Percula?

One reasons I have the ocellaris (and the same arguments would apply to percula) in the first place is that clowns are available tank raised. No worries about cyanide, killing fish in shipping, and so on. The fish are already adapted to aquarium life. Plus, I think it's a good idea to support captive breeding efforts. If they can sell clowns, then maybe they'll be able to put effort into other species.

One thing I have noticed with CB fish, though, is that you have to be a little more careful about abnormalities. Mis-bars are common, but some would argue that mis-bars are cool. Certainly doesn't hurt the fish. My guys have slightly uneven mouths.

Im PROBABLY wrong here but, I think that the flase clowns dont go in the anemones, because they dont know about them, someone correct this if im wrong.

Just a clarification here...So-called false perculas are actually occelaris clowns. Percula vrs occelaris is totally different from wild-caught vrs tank raised vrs tank bred.

My one problem with Captive bred Clowns is that the number one producer of them ORA does not change up the gene pool. So these fish are severly inbred. That is why they have some white, no white, etc. I won't buy fish from ORA because of this. If they start varying the gene pool and stop the incest breeding they do then I would buy them, but until then I prefer to buy Wild caught or captive raised from other companies.
