I just noticed some clear/brownish anemone's that are fairly small on a LR I just got a few days ago. I know the tank it came from had Aipstasia.

My question is...are they really so bad? I have a few other anemone, mushroom, kenya tree, and zooanthids. What's wrong with having some Aipstasia? They're not pretty.

They are a pest anemone. They will cover your tank like algae and smother it. Get rid of them while you still can. You can inject them with boiling water or kalk paste. If you don't want to try either of those, you can get a Peppermint Shrimp to eat it. Mulleri Butterflyfish and Copperband Butterflyfish will both take care of it as well. I would go with the shrimp.
