OK, lets say you put water in a fish tank with no substrate. Absolutely nothing. No Rcks or decorations. If you add a fish will it add weight to your fish tank?:D
 
yes but the amount of weight that the fish add is minute compared to the weight of the water and the tank itself. its like throwing a dime in a cup full of quarters.

unless of course your tank is full to the absolute top in which case the fish you add will actually displace water out of the tank. in that case since i'm pretty sure water is more dense than fish your tank would actually get lighter.
