Turbo Snails

Hey guys quick question

I need to get some snails for my 55g FOWLR.

At my LFS I can get a turbo the size of a dime for 2 bucks or one the size of a quarter for 7 bucks.

You can see the obvious dilema.
How efficient are these snails and how quickly will they grow?

Better off with three times as many small ones or a third as many mature ones?

I agree with Jason about checking online options. Nonetheless, if you are going with the LFS, the small ones will be fine. They will grow. Also, 10 one-gram snails will eat proportionally more than 1 ten-gram snail. Plus, one of the biggest problems with turbos is they get too big and knock things over. Small ones put that issue off.

I had a diatom algae problem in my 55. Bought 3 quarter sized turbos and it has worked out perfect.
