High everyone. I have an 55 gal (eventually upgraded to 90-125 gal) planted oddball tank that is my pride and joy. I have recently uprgaded the lighting and added a CO2 injection system to the set up. However, I still get a fair amount of green hair algae as my plants slowly outcompete it. I figure a chinese algae eater of sorts would work nicely since some max out around 10 inches. I like the way they look and think even after the lage is eliminated they would make a nice addition. However, I wnated to ask around to see which species and best/hardiest adn if any will eat hair algae, since many fish turn their nose up at it.

SAEs (true siamese algae eaters) will eat some hair algaes. They only grow to about 4-6". Rosy barbs also nibble the hair algae and will not clear a major infestation, but will control it a bit.

I don't know how those will mix with your oddballs.
