my guppy tank has a little bit of a high nitrate #. and it already has snails which supposedly scavenge for food too. I was wondering if it would be best to put them in my tigerbarb tank?
they will do fine together but I wonder if this is the cure to your problem. High nitrates and the snails point towards overfeeding/lack of cleaning. how big of a tank is this? how many fish, how often and how much do you feed and how often do you do regular vacuuming and water changes? KYle
my tanks are in the signature. but anyways right now i have a low ph in the guppy tank with the snails and the snails just hide all day in their shells because of this i believe, so i will be getting some ph increaser today from the lfs.
sorry, I missed your signature. you shouldn't have a problem with the # of fish in your tank. with the snails you have listed, I assume you mean mystery or ramshorn snails? At first when you said "snails" I figured pondsnails. Kyle
