so....
my plants are growing very big very fast. Does that mean that my plants are making my water cleaner and eliminating harmful stuff? Does it affect my ph, nitrites, nitrates and stuff?

Actively growing plants reduce the nitrtate titer in the tank as nitrogen is a required macronutrient.

Cleaner in a relative sense. Reducing SOME harmful stuff, not eliminating it. Yes it affects your stuff. I can't tell you how much, but it does. You should still do water changes.

oh for sure i'm still gonna do regular water changes...
i was just curious how beneficial plants were

Well, to several of my planted tanks I have to add nitrate routinely to support the plants, so I guess you could say that they are quite helpful.
