:) Hello

Lately ive ran into some P.H issues...being the levels have dropped down to 6.0.. '
I was wondering if there is any natural way to raise the P.H level...
Im doing very frequent water changes till it clears up.. im guessing that will help

What is the KH of your tank? Do you have live plants? Are you injecting CO2?

Check the 'true' pH and KH of your tap, I'm assuming that's the source of your new water.

Place a shallow bowl on the counter for a few hours/overnight then test pH and KH. Test if before too, it will help you see the difference.

pH will slowly creep downward as nitrifaction consumes bicarbonate, but if you're making frequent water changes, this shouldn't be an issue.

There are ways to increase pH, but I wouldn't want to recommend anything until I know more about your tank and the water that's going into it.

my kh and gh are very low in guessing..ive lost the test card..but the results come out almost clear. My tap waters PH is 7.0 so im guessing water changes may be the answer

and yes..i do have Live plants

What tests do you have for GH and KH? They're usually titrimetric, so you should be able to find out how many drops = what value.

As for the tap pH, is that right out of the tap, or after sitting for a while? If you give it some time to come to equilibrium with CO2 in the atmosphere, you may find that the pH changes.

As for raising your KH and pH, a little bit of crushed coral/aragonite in a mesh bag can be dropped into your filter. It will provide a constant source of carbonate to your aquarium.
