But seriously they don't have a breeding season like other animals. Just make sure you have a male and female keep the water clean and feed a variety of foods and you will have thousands of fry in no time. BTW a 10 gallon tank will be 2 small for Convicts

For a breeding pair of convicts a 20 long is sort of minimum. The male gets pretty darn big.
Also my friend has found that if you bother the pair after the babies have hatched too much they can eat the babies. Wierd but true.
