Lots of things can live with convicts... if you have a large enough aquarium. In your 10g, however, I would say nothing else. I've tried a number of tankmates with my 2" pair in a 20g with little success (besides a pleco).

jewel cichlids and/or red tail black sharks work good. Again, depending on the size of your tank. If you notice on the home page in this site, go to species/convict cichlids and at the bottom of the info. their is a spot that you can "find tankmates". Excellent information.
