How much support for acrylic tank?

I have a 20Tx18Wx60L acrylic tank which is 1/2 inch thick.

What percent of the bottom needs to be supported? 100%?

Also how hard is it to remove scratches? what product should I use? Should I just remove the scratch on the outside or I can do it on the inside surface?

Acrylic bottom needs 100% support.

There are acrylic kits that you can buy to buff out the scratches. If your not good at doing this you might just want to live with the scratch. Buffing out a large scratch sometimes turns into a patch of small scratches.
 
I've had my 125 for over two years and had some pretty rough fish in it. The scratches don't show unless you put your face up to the acrylic or algae film grows on the inside. I wipe mine down every cleaning. I haven't even though about buffing the scratches out because they are not that noticeable.
