I must be cursed. The first overhead light I bought didn't work when I brought it home. I was disturbed because I didn't really live anyplace near the store where it was bought. It wasn't the fluorescent bulb because I tried about three. So I burned up an unnecessary amount of gas to return to the store a couple of days later to exchange it. I tried it out in the store this time. Voila! It worked! So a month and a half later it is dead. Tried swapping bulbs again. Still nothing. What could cause this? These things are like $20, and I wonder if I could be the cause of the problem? I don't want to have to spend $20 every two months on the whole overhead assembly, or at least the part that houses the bulb.
