Hello all. I am in the process of setting up a new 55 gal saltwater tank. I had all my equipment in a closet from a previous tank. The light that I have is a Coralife 48" 4x65W CF hood. When I fired this light up after a year of it sitting in the closet, one bulb seemd to not work. I thought is was the bulb, so I dropped $40 at the LFS for a new one. Got it home and no dice. Tried swapping all the bulbs around and narrowed it down to the fact that one of the ballasts seems to be dead. While in the process of doing all of this, one of the other ballasts has quit working. So now I have 2 ballasts that are dead.

I am wondering how I go about getting replacement ballasts. The part number on the ballast is BH-APL0551A. Anyone have any ideas where to get these? I guess I will need 2 of them. Or am I just better off getting a new one?

Just an update for anyone who hsa read this thread. I figured I would try the long shot and call Corallife and talk to them about this problem. They are actually a sub company of Energy Savers Unlimited and on the first call I got through with no wait. After briefly explaning my problem, they said that they would send me all the replacement parts. Free of charge. No questions about how old the product was, or any mention of the warranty. If this all pans out the way I hope it will, they will have won a customer for life. Just thought I would share this with everyone out here as you dont often hear of a company taking care of its customers so well.
