I'm supposed to have 4 of these guys in my tank I say "supposed to have" because I haven't seen them in over a month They took off and hid in the LR as soon as I put them in the tank but I occasionally would see one now and then at night. Do these guys ever come out of hiding or have they gone to the great fish tank in the sky???

Mine used to emerge like little demons at mealtimes. Over a few years, they disappeared one by one. Never found the bodies, so I don't know what happened to them. There's a great, if somewhat disturbing, sequence of photos on saltreef.com, showing a pep being devoured by bristleworms after a molt. Who knows what really happens in the rockwork of our tanks.

They do hide so I really wouldn't worry too much. What I would do is feed some cyclop-eeze after lights out with a red light flashlight shining in your tank. Use a turkey baster to get under some of the rocks. Mine come out every night for dinner so I really don't know what else to suggest. Hell, mine even come out to clean my hand if I'm in the tank.
