Can these guys completely bury their shells to the point of not being able to move? I've got one who's almost completely buried his shell in the sand and now it's just sitting there. Is this normal?

I also have one who's on the underside of one of my rocks that's just sitting there. From any angle you can't see whether it's alive and well or not. I'd rather not be sticking my hands in there and moving them around if I don't need to.

Mine bury themselves and get stuck in the oddest of places, they will stay for days on end. But get a flashlight and check at night. I had one I thought was stuck under a rock, when actually he would come out everynight and bury himself again before I ever noticed.

Ok, so they do bury themselves sometimes... I just wanted to make sure they weren't dying or getting them stuck in places they can't get out of.
