I do not believe so. I have never noticed mine but who knows what goes on at night. I believe it is bad tasting as even my apple snail will not eat it.

Agree w/schiejr. Not much seems to actualy eat Java Moss.

Definately nono for moss and royals to mix together!!

The only real issue I've seen with my royal and my j-moss is that the moss catches the pleco sauges really well, therefore it needs cleaned a lot. on the same note my bolbitus cathes sausages just as bad. The pleco seems to work around or avoid altogether the java moss.
