I've asked this before but haven't received a response so I'll try again.

I'm using an Aqua Remora Pro Protein Skimmer. The output from the skimmer sends thousands of tiny bubbles into the tank. It's both unsightly and probably unhealthy by limiting the light that reaches my corals.

Does anyone know why it does that and if there is a way to control it?

Do you have baffles between your skimmer and the return pump?
That is the number one answer- that's what the baffles are for.

Have you tried a filter sock (micron bag) covering the output?
It is often an easy fix provided you change/wash the bag every week or so.

I hesitate to comment further as I am not familiar with the skimmer in question.

I'm not sure what a baffle is - the skimmer's pump brings the water into the unit and the water overflows back into the tank. The area where the bubbles appear to be generated is inb the middle, thye input on the left and the output on the right.

I'm interested in the micron bag - are they the bags carbon and other things are put into?
