Ok, I thought Oscars had scales. Then I was told they didn't....THEN I was told they did. My question: Do Oscars have scales? The reason I'm asking is my Oscar has Ich. I got some Wardley's Ick Away, and on the back it says not to use on scaleless species. I've already added the first dose! So if he doesn't have scales, what's going to happen to my little guy?

Most cichlids do have scales so in the future I don't think you'll need to worry about medications if you're going to use them on cichlids.

scaleless fish are like catfish and loaches.
oscars are scaled.
in the process of having an oscar, once in a while they'll love a few scales here and there depending on their activity. :)
mine lost his a few times and they recovered very fast.
mine has Ich too, but it's going off already. the fella didn't even show any signs of itchiness or irritation.
