I hope someone can tell us just what kind of fish we have. He is a greenish,yellow color and his body is taller then most cichlids that I have. He has darker spots of a greenish color (almost like cow spots). I don't think he is a severum (if I spelled that right), b/c he is not very agressive and all pictures I've seen of those they have stripes, not spots. I can not get a very good picture of him, but if no one seems to know what it is from my description, I'll send one of the crappy ones. Thank you so much!

You were exactly right snakeskinner, that is what it is! I had stopped into a fish store this afternoon and saw a very large cichild that they said was a Haplochromis. It looked a bit like mine, so I looked the name up and came across this picure of a livingstoni. Bingo, perfect match!! Thanks everyone who helped.
sometimes I get lucky 
I had been seeing these lately myself and checked into them. I'm told they lose that coloring when they get larger and as luvmykribs said, they get big so make sure you have a big enough tank. Kyle
