I have a Visi-therm standard 200W heater that came with a aquarium package deal. I know the Visi-therm deluxe models are fully submersible but I can't find any information about this standard model. The package does not specify. Anybody have any knowledge about it? Thanks!

Basically, I am pretty sure the Visi-Therm (standard) is a regular run-of-the-mill heater. It wasn’t submersible, and (supposedly) wasn’t as accurate as the semi-new deluxe version. Here is an excerpt from a reputable website, reviewing the deluxe model:

“Water-calibrated to ensure precise temperature selection and superior performance, the Visi-Therm deluxe delivers the ultimate in direct-set control, compact double-sealed durability...and certified accuracy to within one degree.”

I actually called Marineland's customer service to ask if the standard was submersible since the package didn't say. They said yes and mine has been submersed for months now.
