Swollen Cherry Barb

I was looking at my fish just now when i noticed that our 3+ year old male cherry barb's side is swollen. He seems to be acting fine. His scales are smooth on that side, and his color is good. It almost looks like he has a pea stuck in his side.

Could it be a tumor? Or a blockage? What can I do for him?

perhaps there is an exotic vet by you? ive heard of them doing x-rays on fish before but not something that small.. hmm perhaps he ate a gravel??
