recently, I did a water change on my tank, and when I opened the lid, I noticed little tan, tiny creatures about the size of a pin head Jumping around on the water like fleas. I guessed them to be Daphina (since they jump like 'water fleas') however I am not sure since I have never seen daphina before. Also if I have daphina in my tank, does that imply that there is something wrong with my water?

There is nothing wrong with your water. Somehow they were introduced - did you add anything new recently? Plants? Sometimes these things also appear by magic... it is one of the great mysteries of owning an aquarium. Some fish like to eat daphnia. Others just like to watch them play water polo.

I used to feed daphnia to all my fish years ago.....they are not a good staple, as I remember, but are like a treat, and I believe good ruffage for the digestive tract of fish. If what you see are daphnia, don't worry about them. They'll get eaten.
