I have a 46 gallon bow front with 8 Longfin Zebra Danios, 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 cories, 3 ottos, 4 serpae tetras, 2 longfin blackskirt tetras, and 5 bloodfin tetras. Is that overstocked or could I maybe add a few more fish? Originally there were 10 neons instead of the danios but they all died. :(

Sorry about the neons :(
What where you thinking of adding?
The thing to do is if your water parameters are OK and your not adding something huge then you should get away with it

well i want to get a couple more serpaes, and i kind of want to try neons again. I know that it wasn't my fault that the first group I bought died since when i went back to the store and talked to the fish guy he said he pulled 12 dead neons out of the tank that day. Neons just aren't a hardy fish. :( So nice looking though.

I quite like neons, problem is my parrot fish probally will aswell

If your water parameter are OK and the fish have plenty of room to swim they I cant see a problem.

TBH to much is read inot the silly inch per gallon and simlar rules as fish are 3D not just a measurment.

Have you considered cardinal tetra (they just like neons but a little bit bigger so probally a little more tougher)???
If not good luck with the neons and watch those Serpas I have heard they can be a bit fin nippy (but you havent got any guppies so...)

yeah, when the serpaes were in my 10 gallon they would get nippy when they got bored. Since I have put them in my 46 i haven't seen them nipping at any of the other fish.

I would add some more cory catfish. They do best in larger groups. I would add 3 more of them.
