help cant choose

I live in the uk and have found it extremely difficult to find anyone selling Rena filstar xp1's. the only prices I have at the mo is between £80-90. whereas I can get an ehiem ecco 2232 for £52.99. now for some info, I have a 45ltre tank with goldfish, I want to keep a max of three. I therefore thought I would go for the xp1, but as I've said tricky to buy over here. another filter that looks good is the Eheim Professional 2222 at £64.99 and as a kinda afterthought as I've heard there not that good the Fluval 104 at £43.99. I don't want to be tied down to expensive custom media if possible and don't know if any of the above have this limitation, I would prefer baskets I think so I can use whatever is cheapest. please help very confused.
