I tested my salinity today, and it has jumped up to 1.026-1.028.
I usually try to keep it at 1.024. Think this will hurt the fish or anything? I've noticed, since yesterday, that all three fish are breathing faster, continuously. Any advice??

Sounds like you've had some evaporation. Add fresh water to replace what's evaporated off, and then plan on checking and topping off every other day or so. Going to a lower salinity is not that hard on fish--going up in salinity should be done slowly, but down is easy.
