on the sign on the tank of petsmart it says black neons get 6 inches. has anyone ever seen one that big??? that would be quite a sight! perhaps a typo? the signs also says dwarf puffers eat flake food and that the channel cat is a community fish

Black neons are like the name says, black versions of the neon. They only reach 1.5 inches.
Petsmart labels are always completely inaccurate, they really shouldn't even have recommendations on them or stats because they're always wrong.

Actually, black neons tend to get a bit larger than "regular" neons. But definitely not 6" More like 2" .
Also, they're not actually neons, but an entirely different species.
