Got lots of Q's, and looking for A's. First of all: It's not a spring, but water does seep out of the rocks. It gets pretty deep, about 2 feet. It's also generally pretty cold, about 40-50*F, I'm guessing. It runs all year long, and I can visit the fish almost every weekend. I was going to buy some kind of fish to put in it, but WHAT??

It goes off of my family's land but I'm sure it ends in a pool

This is a very good question. You don't want to introduce something to the local enviroment that doesn't belong. Before you do anything, you need to follow it till the end to see where it goes.

IMHO, what would be the value of adding fish to it. The fish would just move down stream and not just hang out on your parents property.

Good point. It's not very far from the house and I can and will follow it... next weekend.

But since that will be awhile, why can't we just talk like I did find where it ends.

What fish could I put in?
Is the water too cold?
What do I feed them, if I feed them?
Will they be ok only checked during the weekend?

I say, do what I did... build a huge levee and dig a hole on the other side and make a 1 acre, 30 foot deep pond. then you can have all kinds of good stuff in it:D like 4 foot channel cats

There are often many laws against introducing non-native (possibly invasive) species into natural wetlands... and often states have quite high fines for violations... you may want to check out your local laws before going any further.

I agree carp can do a lot of damage to wild plants if let out in an uncontrolled manner. And a stream sounds like an uncontrolled manner.

Our 10-acre lake(yes, I know it's big) has fish that my dad bought at a store(only about 10 bass in the whole thing) I think he tried putting a goldfish in it but it died. The bass stressed it. There are also lots of bluegill.

It is still illegal without a permit even if it is on your own land, short of it being a completely closed off system. Lakes of that size rarely are, esp. with streams running into and out of them.
