It should be OK for mushrooms, and maybe some softies like anthelia.

You might think about doing a little modification with a retrofit kit from aquarium hobbyist (http://www.ahsupply.com/).

thanks man that's great. I'm going to retro fit a 32 watt Power Compact. I'v been researching people that have done this to their nano cubes. Your nano looks great, hope i have that much sucess. Thanks
