Paige, you've got to be more specific.
When you have a problem it's always a necessity to give your water parameters and as much info. about the tank as possible.

Paige, that's almost a Hiku, how does that go again Is it 5-7-5 syllables 
1)Clean the heater
2)Clean the bubblewand
3)Do a waterchange
Then test the water and post the results. Let us know about the lighting and such as well. I don't know if I can help beyond that, but someone surely will, Steve

I do water changes on sundays...PERFECT
So I come home from my weekend getaway and the fish is fine but (brown) algae is EVERYWHERE!!!! Even on the bunch plants!
The one thing I can't figure is that there's NO algae on the walls..Weird huh?

I have a brand new tank, and 
can't wait to start seeing some algae and get a few snails. Maybe I should be careful what I fish for.
What about light? I have incandescent 15 watt bulbs in my tank, and so far couldn't find fluorescent with the right screw for the tank cover. Could this affect the plants too?

Like Len said, need more info.
Since there's no algae on the glass, we've ruled out the green spot algae which you'd just need to scrape off.
Is this a 10g? I think I remember you saying that's what you had, once upon a time.
How much lighting (type, quantity and duration per day)? How many fish? What filtration?
pH? KH? NO3? PO4? (assuming that NH3 and NO2 are 0)
Sunny, 2x15W incandecent is not very much light. So yes, it will affect the plants. But folks have been keeping aquatic plants since before fluo was generally available. It's just more difficult (IMO) and you have a smaller selection of plants.
My biggest beef with incandescent is the amount of heat given off.
