What size wattage would I need for a 2 or 3 gallon? The smallest I have found is a 25 watt which says its for up to 8 gallons. Is this ok? It would be for a Betta. Thanks!

God, I'm not too sure. I think... THINK they make 15 watts, but I am not sure.

In any case, the heaters they make for aquariums below 10 gallons are usually cheaply made anyway. By this I mean they break easily, and get "stuck" on leaving your fish bake. Sorry... maybe someone else can direct you to a GOOD heater for this size. There is probably one out there I would imagine?

PS: heck, even some heaters for 10 gallon aquariums are poorly made. Just be careful, get a good brand.

I have 25 watt visi-therm heaters on my 2.5 mini-bows. They have worked well for me. Make sure you get a good brand, because if they stick on, a tank that small will heat up quickly.

Ditto, I use the 6" 25 watt hagen on my minibow and haven't had a lick of problems yet. Considering how cold my room gets its probably good that its a bit overpowered. Just get a reliable brand and you'll be fine.
