Someone told me to cycle my tank with mollies. I took their advice and put four black mollies in my 40 gallon tank. Fast forward 6 weeks, and I now have about 25 mollies. I don't want 25 mollies and I have no clue what to do with them.

Does anyone have any ideas on fish that would eat the little ones?

Thanks...

Most cichlids would make a quick meal out of the small ones. What kind of tank are you going for (community, species, etc)? Angelfishes are nice and could work in a community tank, as long as the other fishes aren't small enough to fit in their mouths.

just add water...

LOL!! sorry, but I got a kick out of this post. Mollies are like Gremlins, just add water and they multiply :p

I think a nice small cichlid tank would be cool and they'll munch up those mollies real quick. good luck :)

When I had my ornate bichir, I would feed it the large ammount of mollie fry from my moms tank every month. The bichir seemed to like them more than the feeder guppies from the LFS. Plus bichirs are relatively peaceful *waits for someone to disagree* I had my ornate with my angels and he never attacked them or took any of their finage. HTH

Thanks for the tips. I have a planted tank, so I think I should stay away from the cichlids. I will see what I can find on the bichirs. Thanks...
