I can't believe what a difference the added Acintic bulb has made in my soft corals/mushrooms just these past 24 hours! My Colt (which has always stretched upwards toward the top of the tank is now very full and healthy looking, swaying full & beautifuly! My colony of mushrooms has about DOUBLED in size, they usually extend themselves to about the size of quarters ... maybe a little bigger ... but since the addition of the Acintic they have become MONSTERS ... extending to the size of silver dollars! My green star polyps have been open more and look BEAUTIFUL, I think they were pouting. They are extending themselves upward and ... WOW, just WOW! My Xenia (I think that's what it is) has opened up wonderfully also. I think it's been trying to get use to my tank these past few days and the extra lighting has REALLY helped it ... YEAH! Now, I am just waiting on the Zooanthids (sp) to become happy. They are opening up more now that the extra light has been added but a good portion is still closed. I know they tend to POUT for a while after being moved around and I just got them last week. So, just waiting to see what they'll do.
Just wanted to share, I LOVE my tank! Now, if only I could figure out some nice aquascaping I'd be set! It's OK but I see so many more attractive tank set ups. Oh well, everything's doing well in there ... corals/shrooms/polyps, fish, inverts ... I guess "if it ain't broke ..." right?!
