I was looking in my tank about 5 minutes ago and i couldnt find 1 of 4 of my neon tetras, i looked everywhere and he was no where to be found, i assumed he died and he got eaten or something. The only fish i could think of that would eat it is my betta, do you think the betta would eat a tetra? im so sad, i love those little guys.

R.I.P. My little tetra.

~ MyShrimpDied - and TETRA!

Having had the "opportunity" to watch a betta pick at a deceased cory catfish, it would take an awful long time for a betta to eat a neon. Chances are slim its the culprit.

I doubt the betta ate the neon. You would know for sure if he did, because his stomach would be buldging for a day or two.

But anyway, don't you just hate it when fish just myseriously just disappear?

If you still haven't found it there is a chance that the clown ate it. Yes, I know they like their vegies, but they will eat a little meat now and then. An adult clown might polish off a small neon in a night or so. At least I think it is a better guess than the betta.
