I have a 1.5"-2" albino(spet wrong?) Tiger oscar that has been getting his but kicked. I now have him/her in a breader net till I can get the quaritine tank set up. I'll keep everyone updated on his status and if he makes it

How about giving us some info on tank set up and tank mates maybe we can help keep the bugger alive

I know its over stocked but I'm just waiting for my new tank to come in. Right now his tail has been chewed up pretty good. So he is sitting in a breader net in the tank.
Its 55 gal with rock for hiding and some flower pots that they love to go in.
I have another oscar,Green Terror, midas, pacu, Jack Dempsey. The midas is very protection of one of the caves so it might be him, but it could be any one of the other fish b/c of how aggressive they all are.
I have a 30 gal that I can set up when I get home I had to run to work so I had to try and do something before he got hurt even more.
My new tank to going to be a 190gal acrylic(78Lx18.75hx30w) w/ 2 over flows, one in each corner going to a custom wet/dry filter. Its going to sit on a custom stand thats 8ft long 32 wide and around 36 high

Ok The little bugger is now in the 30 gal all by himself. I'm not treating with metafix (i think thats what its called) 2nd day in his own tank. I hope he gets better.

If his tail is chewed up, I'd go ahead and treat with melafix and keep up with more water changes than seems prudent. It isn't very harsh and it should keep his tail from getting infected. keep an eye on the ammonia and nitrites in the 30 gal too. Once he's all healed up and eating well, try re-introducing him. he might be strong enough to fend for himself by then.
