Oh noooooo:( This morning when I walked into the fishy room, I went over to one of the 10gs and realized I had accidentally left the cover open last night after I fed the tank. I didn't think much of it...then a little while ago I was trimming the plants in that tank and I didn't see one of my froggies anywhere. Well, I found him:( Right on the CARPET next to the other tank!!!:(:( I feel so bad. He was all shriveled up and I KNOW that was not a pleasant way to go. I feel sooooooo bad:( I was just playing with him last night as I was feeding him:sad

For those of you with froggies, covers are really important - and by cover I mean something that truly closes out any gaps. If you use a glass cover, make sure you make use of the little plastic strip that comes with it to cover the back couple of inches. And pay extra attention to shutting the lid all the time:( I left it open ONE time and it killed my froggie:(

RIP little guy.

:(

I'm so sorry about your frog!! I know how you feel, about being a bad mother... I was changing Quint's water last night (betta) and he jumped right out of the cup he was in and almost went down the drain!! I added some melafix to his bowl, and am hoping for the best when I get home, as he was sitting in the water a little bit slanted this morning. :(

btw, we aren't bad mommies, all mommies make mistakes -- the good mommies learn from those mistakes!!

Sorry for your loss. :(

Mistakes are made by everyone. Just don't let his death be in vain. I am sure you will learn from this and countless generations of little guys will thrive because:
(1) You won't make that mistake again
(2) Others will learn from this posting.

Don't worry about it leopardess it happens to everyone. I recently left a small crack open and my beautiful aph. australe orange killiefish male jumped out and died. :shake:

I'm sure you take excellent care of all your pets, don't let it get you down too much.

sorry for your loss

Thanks guys:( I just feel bad since it was probably a really horrible way to go. Lesson learned: Make it a point to check whether or not I remembered to close the tank lid.

Soory you lost your froggie :( I love the little froggies. I have one too and I leave the top open a lot. I guess I won't be doing that anymore! I would hate to lose him and my hubby would not be ahppy either!

I hate that happened to your little guy. I do feel your pain. I had a gold fish jump out on me one night. The next afternoon I found him.. all dried out. You can never be to careful
