I have 2 cleaner shrimp in my 50 gallon tank and 2 condy anemones. I saw one of the cleaners on top of the anemone like it was cleaning it. The anemone closed itslef up tightly and seemed to be very annoyed. Is this something to worry about or is it normal? Thanks!

One of my cleaner shrimps used to get close to my anemone all the time. . Then one day it mysteriously disappeared. . . I'm figuring the anemone had finally had enough...

I have had problems with cleaners and peppermints aggressively stealing food from condys.

I've got a RBTA and a cleaner. When I put a silverside in my anemone, the cleaner will agressively try to steal it, and often does. I usually have to give him a little piece of his own before feeding my RBTA. He's not bothered at all by the anemone. I also have a Singapore angel that will do the same thing.

Thanks for the help in understanding what's going on. It's weird though that I hadn't fed the tank yet that day when it was happening. But, then again... I'm sure something could have been floating around. :)

I have a similar issue with my cleaner harassing my long-tentacle plate coral. He feels it all over and the tentacles shrink away. He does move on eventually, but he does pick at it a lot. Should I be concerned that the cleaner is disrupting the coral to the detriment of its health?

Thanks

Two days later and my condi is dead. The cleaner kept messing with it and it would shrink up. Finally, most tentacles were gone and it was upside down on the bottom. Dead.
