Yesterday my tank was completely clean of green algae and this morning when i woke up, im seeing a lot of it forming on the glass.
its a 10 gal with two filters
penguin 125 and topfin 20. but i dont think its a lack of maitenance or anything like that .
Recently i have been turning on the tank lights at about noon or so everyday, this has been when the start of green algae accured. Since the tank is by a few windows, but does NOT get that much light at all. I have just finished my cycle and added to ottos. Im not sure what to do. I dont want the green hair algae to get out of control.
I dose flourish excel every day, flourish twice a week and flourish iron once a week, i also add some epsom salt for magnesium. Though i havent added my first dosage yet, just found the carton last night.
The tank has only been up for maybe 3 weeks, and during the first two i wasnt doing any water changes because of my fishless cycle. ive done 1 water change to remove nitrates, i did it at the end of my cycle, and havent done one since.
