question about giving away my fish

hey im new to these forums anyway im making my 30 gal tall freshwater tank into a saltwater reef tank and i have to give away my freshwater fish cuz my mom wont let me have more than one tank i dont knoe wut to do with my freshwater fish take to a lfs or give to a friend but i have got no one who would has given any interests

any advice would be aprecated

oh and the reason i cant have more than 1 tank is because im gonna need metal halide lights and my mom doesnt want to pay to much electricity and i said that it wouldnt be much of a diff if i had 1 more tank but she wouldnt listen
 
Man that sucks, there's no one that you know that'll take your fish?

And did you LFS give a reason why they dont wanna take your fish? how many fish is it? how big a tank and all that good stuff?
