Hi ya to everyone here , I wish to say thank you for letting me be a member. :D I have just started my own freshwater aquarium and all my ph levels are ok and all other tests are ok and i think im ready to get some fish to go in the aquarium now . ;) my tank is a nice one its is 91 inch long by 18 inch high by 12 inch wide and its in a mahogany unit to go with my home furnishings. im just looking forward now to going fish hunting as i do like all the different types of fish out there . I am also looking forward to getting some real good information from this web site and also meet new friends. Thank you again. :D
 
Hey man, glad to have ya' here at AC!

But first, have you cycled your tank? I just wasnt sure because you didnt really mention it :) Before you go buy some fish, answer that question.

Welcome....sounds like about a 100 gallon tank? that's a pretty big tank to start out with. Have you done any searching on what type of fish you want? you may need to change some decor or water conditions depending on what you're wanting and as mentioned, a cycle needs to be performed in some way before getting any of the sensitive fish. You could get lots of small fish or a few big fish, just depends on your desires.

Thanks MyShrimpDied for the welcome ! , I am pretty sure i had done everything untill i read your post back to me now i am wondering as this is my first time doing this what is "CYCLED" ?. Thanks to Snakeskinner for the welcome , on the peice of paper i got in tank it said that it was a 65 gallon tank , but when you work it out by diamentions it does seem to be a bigger gallon tank , i also think that it is a 100 gallon tank but im gonna get profesional advice from where i braught it from on monday to find out if it is a 100 gallon tank , i will let you know if it is . thanks for raising this as i would have just left it as a 65 gallon tank . :D Thanks to Bigguppy for the welcome . i have got 4 guppies in tank and 6 tetra's at moment , my guppies i have 2 male and 2 female in blue tails and orange tailed , beuties . when i get my batteries charged up i will be taking pics of my tank and fish and hope to show everyone. ;) I do have yahoo messenger and my id is excaliber_jay if u wanna add me and we can chat anytime , its up 2 u . hope to talk soon.

it's very important to cycle your tank. You already have fish in it, so you can't fishless cycle it unless you bring them back, but check out the sticky thread at the top of this forum. that should explain any questions. If you don't totally understand something, feel free to ask!
