well i got some new fish today, i did have

2 Neons
2 Glow lights
1 B Neon
1 Otocinclus

and ive added

3 Neons
2 Dwarf Gourami
1 Betta

The fish that were in the tank seem so much happier and all the tetras stay in a big group together now and the Gourami and betta stay together. overall a happy tank just 2 more otocinclus to get now

I would not recommend keeping the gouramis and the betta in the same tank. You are asking for a world of trouble. While they might get along alright now, they often end up turning on each other, which can result in some pretty torn up fishies.

Btw, how big is your tank?

Brookelyn is right, bettas and most other fish will get along for awhile, until the betta wants the tank all for himself. He will try to make the whole tank his territory and scare most of your other fish into submission and they will hide. I would put the betta somewhere by himself, or just see what happens if you dare.

Lakota

ill throw in my 2 cents.

the only problem i see with the betta is the dwarf gouramis, only because they are somewhat realted, and the betta can be confused, thinking it's another betta. the birght colors and the overall appearance is, bettaish.

Lakota-where did you hear that on bettas? Bettas are such misconceived fish. Bettas are not aggressive except to their own kind or fish that look like them (ie guppies). Almost all other times bettas are the ones getting attacked by other fish. Bettas are not aggressive fish but they get such a bad rap since they are so aggressive to other males.

Depending on the size of the tank gourami's and bettas shouldn't be housed together due to them being in the same family. The larger the tank the more hiding places and more room to get out of each others way but in a small confined tank, there is little room to run so just be careful with that. Other than that sounds like a very nice little tank. Hope this helps and good luck.

I've also had two bettas that got their butt kicked by a honey gourami (Closely related to dwarves) half their size ;).
