holy cow! I came home from a swim camp today and in my 30 the female krib is waiting on eggs, and in my fry tank there are is a group of empero tetra fry. Do the kribs need to be removed from the community tank after a week? will they eat the emperors?

I'd remove the emporer fry and raise them seperately if you want them to survive. If you have a big enough tank with enough hiding places, the kribs should be able to raise the fry in the community tank with no probs until they're about 1/4". You must be doing something right if you got 2 different species to spawn in a community tank
