I was looking in my tank very carefully about 20 minutes ago to make sure everything was going good. Everything WAS going good until I noticed what looks like two white grains of sand on my Neon Tetras lips.
My first thought was mouth fungus and i'm not really sure what to do. As part of my weekly maitenance I added 4 tsp of disolved Morton salt as a precaution to help with any infections or disease prevention. NOTE** I added the salt BEFORE I noticed the white grains on the Neon's lip.
Tomorrow is my tank maitenance day and i will be doing a 30% water change along with vacuming and sturing my sand.
IF it is mouth fungus Im not sure if I have an appropriate place to put him to prevent spreading it. I have my 10gal puffer which currently has no puffers in it, but has 2 otocinclus affinis and 2 ghost shrimp.
Is there anything I can add to the tank to help the little guy out? I don't know why but I have become VERY attached to my fish, So I feel really guilty whenever something bad happens to em'.
Thanks,
